Bingham Primary Care Centre

The proposal is for a development on a prime town centre site. The scheme will bring together all community based health and social services for Bingham into one location to assist joint working and close co-ordination between teams which will lead to an improvement in patient care.

The new facility will include the following frontline service provision:-

• 7GPs plus one trainee
• Minor operation suite / treatment room
• Minor injuries suite
• General practice nurse clinics and triage
• GP dispensing facility
• Reception / administration areas for GP practice
• Waiting rooms, toilets and buggy store
• Consulting rooms for community health staff - speech and language therapy, communuty paediatrics, health visitors, community matrons and community nursing teams
• Treatment rooms - podiatry, physiotherapy, and community nurse clinics
• Health education room - also suitable for carer groups and training etc
• Multi purpose consultation rooms for services such as phlebotomy, dietetics, mental health services, sexual health, specialist outreach - echocardiography, COPD
• Office base for Integrated Locality Team including social services staff
• Reception / administration area for PCT staff
• Storage
