Building work is due to start in the next few weeks on a new modern one-stop centre in Stapleford. This will provide the local community with improved access to a greater range of health and social care and local authority services under one roof.
The exciting new development, situated on the corner of Albert Street and Church Street, will enable Broxtowe & Hucknall PCT, your local NHS organisation, to deliver twenty-first century healthcare in a modern setting.
The new premises, due for completion in early 2006, will continue to deliver existing services which are offered in the current Stapleford Health Centre (e.g. GP services and community health services such as district nursing or health visiting).
It will also include a range of new services, including a new minor injuries walk-in-centre with dental services, a range of diagnostic and treatment services (e.g. diabetes clinics), and social care services.
Broxtowe & Hucknall PCT are working closely with partner organisations, including Nottinghamshire County Council Social Services, Broxtowe Borough Council & Stapleford Town Council, to make sure that the local Stapleford community is kept informed about the development.
The new Stapleford one-stop centre, along with other health, social care and local authority premises across Greater Nottingham, will be funded through a new government scheme called the Local Improvement Finance Trust (LIFT) initiative. If you have any queries about the construction work, the LIFT Project Team will be able to help answer any questions on behalf of Broxtowe & Hucknall PCT. They can be contacted on 0115 9648983.
If you would like to know more about the new Stapleford one-stop centre and the services it will offer, please contact Broxtowe & Hucknall PCT on 0115 8754900.
